Any suggestions (I still have quite a few of these CD/DVD/BR with content on them and I would to continue using this software.

A device driver is a piece of software designed to help your machine communicate with your mobile device or computer. Brother drivers allow your Brother printer, label maker, or sewing machine to talk directly with your device. This allows the machinery to understand data sent from a device (such as a picture you want to print or a document you want to scan), and perform the necessary actions. Think of your Brother printer driver as the translator who helps your technology to communicate more effectively.

Epson offers two printers in their EcoTank line which have the capability to print on CD/DVD/BD. Those models are the ET-7700 and the ET-7750. I have the ET-7700 and have been using it for over a year and am still using ink from the first set of bottles [It comes with two full bottles of each color of ink]. Plus, Epson has the best proprietary label design software IMO.
I have a Brother MFC J870 DW. I has worked for years now I have lost Black an Cyan and all efforts to clean have failed. I need a replacement The Cannon MG7760 is so complex and will not give me the flexibility in setting out the label with what they have been able to suggest. For me it is hopeless. Does anyone know of a printer as simple and flexible as the above mentioned Brother. Thanks Cyril
Epson has the best proprietary label design software. If you purchase a Canon, you will need to find some other design software which supports direct printing on discs as some design software only has templates for paper labels.
The Ip 7260 has new DVD label software that is not compatible with the many labels printed with my previous 2 Canon DVD printers. The 7260 worked fine with windows 7 but not when I updated to 10 it changed the printer softer ware to . I contacted canon and got the full run around from 4 different guys. I am rely pissed of at Canon as all my labels are no longer printable unless I go back to windows 7. I purchase 3 sets of 5 ink cartridges from ebay for about $30. For clogged heads soak only the print heads in very shallow dish containing Isocol Rubbing Alcohol.
The problem you have with a different operating system is avoidable if you stay with Epson. I had the same problem years ago with HP printers. They did not provide updated operating system software although that may have changed by this time. I had a business quality HP printer and their business quality scanner and had to dump them when Windows 7 came out. Very frustrating AND costly. Epson has always provided me updated drivers for all Windows and MAC operating systems. They also offer a wide variety of features including models that print on CD/DVD, models with large economical ink tanks, models that connect via wireless using BT or WIFI etc.
What is your favorite and recommended direct-to-CD printer in terms of quality of print, ease of use software (for CD label creation), and high yield on ink (and ink replacement costs)? Would appreciate one recommendation as I make my decision. Thank you!
6. The printer settings must match the actual supplies that you are using for your print job and the options on your printer. Adjust the printer settings as necessary using Zebra Setup Utilities software or Windows Printer Driver v5.
When I first got into (digital) photography about 15 years ago I really enjoyed learning about technique, lenses, cameras, and printing. For a few months I imagined a multi-year plan where I would acquire additional high-quality lenses and eventually a home printer. My daydreaming led to more reading about printing which quickly convinced me that it probably wasn't for me. Along the same lines, I also realized relatively quickly that although I enjoy taking photos I have next to zero interest in farting around with them on my computer in Photoshop or similar software, which saved me a ton of time and money over the years. I try to do the best I can when taking the picture and that's pretty much what I get. I'm probably not doing it right, but I spend my days staring at a computer and have no interest in making my hobby more of the same.
I have wrestled with these issues for a very long time. In fact, the first article I wrote for Mike was a summary of a printing workshop I took from Jon Cone, the digital printing pioneer, at his studio in Vermont in 2004 which was posted on The Sunday Morning Photographer. I think the main learning curve is less with dealing with the printer itself, and more with adjusting the photographic file to the point that it is optimized to produce a great print. Once that is accomplished, printing really is just a matter of knowing the right settings to use in Lightroom or Photoshop (or your software of choice), and clicking on the print button. My Epson SC P800 has proven to be amazingly robust even with my very erratic and occasional use pattern, and I have been able to restore it to normal function with a few cleaning cycles and calibration cycles and we are good to go. The corner drug dealer approach to ink pricing is undeniably an issue and is the biggest impediment to more profligate printing habits. But, the main value that Ctein brings to this process is his superb skill at post processing and tweaking files pre-print. You could pretty easily learn to knock out the prints once the settings are nailed down. 2ff7e9595c
